Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payables:
    • Payments and Posting Invoices in the accounting system
    • Filing and centralisation of Invoices
    • Monitoring Vendors List and contracts
    • Initiate approval flow of costs and provide support on the process
    • Reconciliations on expense reports and liaising with affiliate offices on allocations per different company expenses
    • Communicate with Vendors for invoices and balance reconciliations
    • Prepare and compile the payments file for bank processing
    • Payables ledger reconciliation with TB
    • Revaluation of closing balances in foreign currencies
  • Accounts Receivables:
    • Issues monthly sales invoices (AR) and posting in the accounting system
    • Reporting of Debtor list by number of days, and monitoring inflows of funds
    • Communicate with Customers for invoices and balance reconciliations
    • Receivables ledger reconciliation with TB
    • Revaluation of closing balances in foreign currencies
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Bank Statements reconciliation and postings in the accounting system
    • Enter bank transfers in the banking system
    • Business partners’ reconciliations
    • Merchant clients’ money reconciliations
    • Revaluation of closing balances in foreign currencies
  • Inventory:
    • recording of inventory movements
    • reconciling inventory counts
  • Archive accounting documents
  • Maintain and update procedures and work instructions
  • Assist during audit process
  • Responsible for the petty cash and office administrative expenses
  • Completing the monthly trial balance in preparation of the monthly management accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT reconciliations for submission of VAT returns
  • Prepare and update internal controls for balance sheet and profit and loss statements
  • Helping the FC with ad-hoc duties within the finance department and act as a support for other group entities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Accounting
  • ACCA qualification – early stages or University in progress
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Problem Solving
  • PC literate and experience in using accounting software
  • Current up-to-date knowledge of accounting and standards
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (excel, word, etc.)
  • Ability to deal tactfully, confidently and in time with internal and external customers
  • Analytical & logical approach to tasks
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task
